Two flow settings

Two machines, one chassis.

Choose 1,500 or 3,000 ml/min from the touch display. At full output the Nova 3000 produces 2,000 ml/min of molecular hydrogen and 1,000 ml/min of oxygen, blended inside the machine at a fixed 2:1 ratio. At 1,500 it delivers exactly what our Nova 1500 does.

The science

The smallest molecule. A selective antioxidant.

Molecular hydrogen is the smallest molecule there is. That size lets it diffuse across cell membranes and reach the mitochondria and the nucleus, places larger antioxidants struggle to get to.

Once there, it acts selectively. In a landmark 2007 study in Nature Medicine, Ohsawa and colleagues showed that hydrogen neutralises the hydroxyl radical, one of the most reactive free radicals, while leaving the signalling molecules your cells rely on intact.

How it works

Pure water in. Pure gas out.

  1. Fill with distilled water

    Purified or distilled water is the only thing the machine consumes.

  2. Split by a PEM cell

    A proton exchange membrane separates the water: hydrogen forms at one electrode, oxygen at the other.

  3. Blended inside the unit

    The two gases combine at a fixed 66.6% / 33.3% ratio before they leave the machine.

  4. Humidified and delivered

    Gas passes through the humidification cup and out to a soft nasal cannula.

With no alkaline solution in the process, there is no alkaline mist or residue, and the humidification cup water stays clear over time.

How the PEM cell works Distilled water enters the anode side of the cell. Hydrogen is flammable and oxygen supports combustion. A machine that makes both has to take that seriously, from the cell to the cannula.

Before you decide.

Who is the Nova 3000 for?

Two kinds of buyer. Wellness, longevity and aesthetic practices that want to offer hydrogen sessions through the day, and people who want the most capable machine in the range at home. If you’re after a daily session at home and nothing more, the Nova 1500 is the one we recommend.

How is it different from the Nova 1500?

Three things. Output: it runs at 1,500 or 3,000 ml/min, so it can match the Nova 1500 or double it. Cooling: air and water together, built for long and back-to-back sessions. Format: a larger mobile chassis with castors and twin handles, designed to move between rooms. The technology inside — PEM electrolysis, the USA-made membrane, the 2:1 blend — is the same across the range.

Can two people use it at once?

No. The Nova 3000 serves one person at a time. In a practice, each client has their own cannula.

How long is a session?

The timer runs from 30 minutes to 8 hours, with continuous and sleep modes as well. Much of the published research uses sessions from around 20 minutes, and you can stop a session whenever you like. Many people begin at the lower setting with shorter sessions, and build from there.

Is it suitable for a treatment room?

Yes. It runs from a standard UK socket with nothing to plumb in, rolls between rooms on castors, and is set up in a couple of minutes. At 20 dB it runs as quietly as the Nova 1500, so it sits comfortably beside a client who is resting.

What kind of water does it need?

Distilled or purified water only. Tap water contains minerals that shorten the life of the electrolysis cell. The machine checks water quality continuously and tells you when the water needs changing.

Is it safe for long sessions?

It’s built for them. Output is held below 5 kPa with an automatic cut-out, the gas path has a patented flame-retardant design, and voltage, temperature and water quality are monitored throughout. As with any oxygen-enriched gas, keep it away from naked flames, candles and smoking while in use.
