Always use distilled water only. Tap water, mineral water, and filtered water all contain dissolved minerals that can coat the PEM membrane over time, reducing hydrogen purity and output. Distilled water is widely available in supermarkets. Refresh the tank every 1–2 weeks even if water remains. Never use any other liquid in the machine.
