The small parts

Two consumables. That is all.

A hydrogen machine is a quietly simple thing. The generator does its work for years. The only parts you replace are the two that sit in the path of the gas: the nasal cannula you wear, and the filter inside the machine.

A fresh cannula once a month. A fresh filter every six months. Both held in UK stock, both delivered free the next working day, both fitted for every H2 Pure Life machine we sell.

Two small parts. A simple rhythm. Nothing more to think about.

Pack of two internal filters on warm linen Lasts one year

Filter · pack of two

Two filters, one tidy year.

£50 free UK delivery

The internal filter is a quiet workhorse — it sits inside the machine and keeps the air clean before electrolysis begins. One filter fits every H2 Pure Life machine. Replaced every six months, a pack of two is simply a year's supply, quietly put away until you need it.

When to replace

One a month. One every six.

The two parts run to different rhythms. The cannula, which sits against the skin, is refreshed monthly. The filter, tucked inside the machine, is refreshed every six months. Gentle cues to keep in the back of your mind — nothing more.

The cannula · monthly

One a month, on the first.

  • The fit is no longer quite right. Soft tubing softens further with daily use. If the loop behind the ear feels looser, or the prongs sit less snugly, a fresh one tends to settle straight back into place.
  • The surface isn't as clean as it was. Daily contact with skin and the everyday home environment means the tubing gradually picks up a patina. Gentle wiping between sessions helps — a fresh cannula each month helps more.
  • It has simply been a while. If you can't remember the last time you replaced it, it's probably time. A new cannula makes sure you're getting the best of the machine.

The filter · every six

One every six, when the season turns.

  • Spring and autumn, once the calendar turns. Most owners settle into a spring-and-autumn rhythm — a fresh filter when the clocks change, perhaps. A natural cue, twice a year, nothing forced.
  • If the machine sounds a little harder-working. A filter nearing the end of its useful life is one of the few things that can make the machine feel slightly less effortless. A fresh one settles it back into its quiet rhythm.
  • One filter, one minute, no tools. Changing the filter takes about a minute and requires no tools. Each machine ships with a short video showing exactly how, and the UK team will walk you through it on the phone.

The daily practice

Twenty minutes if that’s all you have. Sixty if you want what the research used. A fresh cannula each month, a fresh filter every six, quietly, without fuss.

The beauty of a hydrogen practice is that it asks very little of you. A reliable machine. A soft cannula. A working filter. A comfortable chair. Everything else — the reading, the working, the slow cup of something — is already yours.

The year's supply

Twelve cannulas. Two filters. One tidy year.

Three packs of four silicone cannulas and one pack of two replacement filters, delivered together — a full year of consumables in a single parcel.

  • 3 × Silicone pack of four (twelve cannulas)£90
  • 1 × Filter pack of two£50
  • Total separately£140

£120 bundled · saves £20

A small saving — but mostly, one less thing to remember.

Frequently asked

The questions worth asking.

How often should I replace the cannula?

Once a month. Daily use gradually softens the tubing and the fit relaxes a little. The pack of four covers four months in one parcel, and the latex-free pack of ten covers roughly ten — both quietly put away in a drawer until the first of each month.

Will this fit the machine I already have?

Yes. The same standard connector fits the Hydro Gen, the Hydro Nova, and the Hydro Medic. There is one cannula type and one filter type across the whole range — by design, to keep ordering simple.

Can I just clean the one I have instead of replacing it?

Gentle wiping between sessions is fine and we'd encourage it. The cannula is designed as a consumable, though — think of it like a toothbrush head. The fit, the surface, and the experience of a fresh one are all noticeably better.

How quickly will it arrive?

Order by 2pm on a working day and it usually arrives the next working day, free anywhere in the UK. Held in UK stock — no three-week waits from overseas marketplaces.

Why buy from H2 Pure Life rather than Amazon, eBay, or direct from China?

Two reasons. The first is fit — generic cannulas and filters from third-party marketplaces vary in connector size, tubing softness, and material spec, and a poor fit is the difference between a comfortable session and a fiddly one. The second is provenance. Our consumables are sourced to a single specification, held in UK stock, and shipped from the UK with full support behind them. If something isn't right, you have a UK team to call.

Is the cannula sterile out of the pack?

It is supplied clean and individually sealed. It isn't sterilised in the medical sense — it doesn't need to be, as it sits at the nostrils and against the skin rather than inside the body. Wipe gently before first use if you'd like to.

Silicone or latex-free — which should I choose?

Silicone is the default standard option and what most owners use. The latex-free pack exists for anyone with a known latex sensitivity, or simply a preference to avoid it. Fit and comfort are equivalent — the difference is in the material.

How do I change the filter?

It takes about a minute and requires no tools. Every machine ships with a short video showing the exact steps, and the UK team is happy to walk you through it on the phone if you'd rather see it done together the first time.

Can I return a pack if I change my mind?

Unopened packs can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. Once a hygiene seal has been broken, the pack can't go back into stock — but if anything is wrong with the product itself, contact the UK team and we'll put it right.

Phil, founder of H2 Pure Life, wearing the cannula

A note from Phil

The thing nobody tells you is how good a fresh one feels.

Three years in, I still notice the difference the morning after I swap to a new cannula. It's not dramatic. It's not life-changing. It's just that the fit settles back into place, the tubing doesn't remember the shape of yesterday, and the whole session feels a fraction cleaner than the one before it.

That's why we hold them in UK stock, ship them free, and — when you'd rather not think about it at all — put twelve of them in a single box with the year's filters alongside. We don't sell singles, because a single doesn't quite cover the way the practice actually works. A small thing, looked after properly.
