Frequently asked questions
The Science
What is molecular hydrogen inhalation?
Molecular hydrogen (H2) inhalation involves breathing pure hydrogen gas through a nasal cannula for a set period — typically 20–60 minutes per session. Research suggests that hydrogen may act as a selective antioxidant, targeting the most destructive free radicals while leaving beneficial ones intact. Over 1,000 peer-reviewed studies have explored its potential across a wide range of health areas, from energy and cognitive clarity to recovery and cellular ageing.
Safety
Is hydrogen inhalation safe?
In a formal safety study, nine healthy adults inhaled hydrogen continuously for 72 hours with no adverse events, no ECG changes, and no laboratory abnormalities. H2 Pure Life sessions run 20–60 minutes. We recommend speaking with your GP before beginning, particularly if you have an existing medical condition.
We'll let the research speak for itself.
Are these machines medical devices?
No. H2 Pure Life machines are wellness devices, not medical devices. They are not classified as medical devices in the UK. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice. If you have a medical condition, please speak with your GP before use.
Using your machine
How often should I use my machine?
Many users incorporate hydrogen inhalation into their daily routine — typically one 20–60 minute session per day. Some prefer morning sessions for focus and energy; others use it post-exercise for recovery. There is no single prescribed protocol. The majority of peer-reviewed studies used sessions of around 60 minutes — an hour reading, watching television, or working from home. Build a routine that suits your lifestyle.
What does a session involve?
You simply sit with the nasal cannula in place while the machine runs. Most people read, work, or watch something. There is nothing active required — hydrogen can reach the bloodstream within minutes of inhalation. Twenty minutes fits into any day. Sixty minutes is where most of the research sits.
The technology
What is a PEM membrane and why does it matter?
PEM stands for Proton Exchange Membrane — the component that splits purified water into pure hydrogen gas. The quality of the membrane directly determines the purity of hydrogen produced. Our machines use a USA-manufactured PEM membrane, not a lower-cost substitute. It is the single most important component in the machine, and it is the component we refuse to compromise on.
Buying & support
Why are your machines more expensive than ones on Amazon?
Most machines on Amazon are grey-market imports with no local support, no UK warranty, no UK spare parts, and weeks of delivery time. Our machines use a USA-manufactured PEM membrane, come with a 2-year UK warranty, ship next-day for free, and are supported by a real UK team you can email. The difference is in what happens after you buy.
What payment options are available?
We offer 0% interest-free payment plans through Klarna (3 monthly payments) and Clearpay (4 monthly payments). The Hydro Nova at £2,750 works out at approximately £687 per month with Clearpay — the equivalent of a serious gym membership or a handful of PT sessions, applied to your daily practice at home.
What is included with my machine?
Every machine includes the hydrogen inhalation unit, nasal cannula, power cable, and access to our full UK YouTube setup guide library. UK replacement filters and cannulas are available to order separately, and we keep them in stock.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — every H2 Pure Life machine comes with a 2-year UK warranty. If something goes wrong, our UK team handles it directly. No international returns, no grey-market complications.
Can I speak to someone before I buy?
Absolutely. Our UK team is available by email during normal business hours and happy to answer any questions about the machines, the science, or which model might suit you best. We'd rather you made the right decision than the fast one.
Still have a question?
Our UK team is happy to help — no scripts, no pressure.
