Flagship

Where the research sits, not where the marketing usually does.

1,500 ml/min of pure molecular hydrogen, delivered through a soft silicone cannula at normal resting breath. Achievable as a daily practice — quietly, while you read, work or watch television. The machine most of our customers choose, and the one the peer-reviewed literature most often describes.

The specifications

Four numbers worth knowing.

Flow rate is the variable that matters most. Everything else is shared across the range. What changes between machines is how much molecular hydrogen reaches you per minute — and therefore where each session sits within the range the peer-reviewed literature has explored.

The science of dose

Why flow rate matters.

It's not just how much hydrogen is delivered. It's how quickly your tissues reach saturation.

When you inhale molecular hydrogen, research suggests most tissues — brain, liver, kidneys — reach saturation within minutes. Muscle tissue takes a little longer. But the time it takes to reach that point depends directly on flow rate. A lower-flow machine takes longer to saturate your tissues. A higher-flow machine gets there faster.

The peer-reviewed literature that most people cite when they talk about hydrogen inhalation — beginning with Ohsawa's 2007 paper in Nature Medicine and the body of work that followed — sits at flow rates that look much closer to 1,500 ml/min than to the 150–450 ml/min delivered by sub-£1,000 devices sold online. That is the simple reason the Nova exists. It sits within the range published research has explored — well above what most consumer devices deliver.

Once you're at saturation, that's where the benefit accumulates. Your cells are bathed in molecular hydrogen, oxidative stress is being addressed, and the antioxidant effect is sustained. The goal of every session is to get there — and stay there.

This is why the Hydro Nova's 1,500 ml/min output matters. It reaches tissue saturation meaningfully faster than a lower-flow machine — which means more of your session is spent at peak hydrogen concentration, not building toward it.

The Hydro Medic gets there a little faster still. But here's the honest truth: if your session is 30–60 minutes, the difference in saturation time between the Nova and the Medic is relatively small. The Nova gets you there quickly enough that the gap is, for most people, negligible.

The Hydro Medic makes most sense if your time is severely limited. For a standard daily session, the Hydro Nova delivers the saturation benefit at nearly half the price.

Considered questions

The questions worth asking.

Why is the Nova the recommended machine?

1,500 ml/min sits within the range the published hydrogen-inhalation research has explored. The Gen, at 900 ml/min, is a credible starting point. The Medic, at 3,000 ml/min, is for specific protocols. For daily use, at standard session lengths, the Nova is where the science sits — and where most people settle.

How long is a typical session?

Most Nova users run sessions of 30 to 60 minutes once daily. At 1,500 ml/min, tissue saturation is reached comparatively quickly, so a 30-minute session is enough for most people. An hour gives the accumulation time the research tends to describe. Longer sessions are fine; the machine is rated for continuous run up to 8 hours.

What makes it different from a cheaper hydrogen machine online?

Three things, honestly. Flow rate — most sub-£1,000 devices deliver 150 to 450 ml/min, which is well below the range the research has explored. Membrane provenance — the Nova uses a USA-manufactured N117 membrane, the same one used in published studies. And UK support — our team handles warranty directly, no grey-market complications, no international returns.

Do I need the Medic instead?

For most people, no. The Medic makes sense if you're running very short sessions (15 minutes or less) and need to reach saturation quickly, or if you're building a longevity protocol with specific higher-dose targets. For a standard daily practice, the Nova delivers the benefit at nearly half the price. We'd rather you bought the right machine than the biggest one.

What kind of water does it need?

Distilled or deionised water only. Tap water contains minerals that shorten the life of the electrolyzer considerably. Supermarkets stock distilled water at roughly £1 per litre; a single tank holds 2.6 litres and runs for several sessions. The TDS pen included in the box lets you confirm the water is pure before each refill.

Is it noisy?

No. The Hydro Nova runs at 20 decibels — quieter than a whisper, quieter than a laptop fan. Most users place it on a side table during a session and forget it is running.

What's included with delivery?

The machine, three silicone cannulas, a pre-fitted filter, a TDS water-quality pen, the UK power lead, and the printed manual. Delivery is free, next working day if ordered by 2pm. The 2-year UK warranty is registered automatically — nothing to post back. If you'd like to read the full manual before ordering, our UK team will email a copy on request.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer Klarna and Clearpay at checkout, both interest-free. The Hydro Nova works out at around £687 per month over four months with Clearpay, or three monthly payments with Klarna. If you'd rather arrange something different, our UK team can help — just email us.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Email our UK team. We handle warranty directly — no international returns, no grey-market complications, no going through a distributor. If a repair is needed, we arrange collection and cover postage both ways for the first two years.

The considered choice, properly supported.

Write to us first — our UK team replies personally to every email, usually within the working day. We'd rather you made the right decision than the fast one.
