The specifications

Four numbers worth knowing.

Flow rate is the variable that matters most. Everything else is shared across the range — the same USA-manufactured PEM membrane, the same warranty, the same UK support. What changes between machines is how much pure molecular hydrogen reaches you per minute.

Where the Gen sits

Three machines. One difference.

Same technology. Same manufacturing standard. Same USA-made PEM membrane. The only thing that changes is flow rate — where each session sits within the range the peer-reviewed literature has explored. The Hydro Gen is, deliberately, the entry point — not a compromise, but a first step.

A note from the founder

The first step is the one that actually happens.

The Hydro Gen exists because the most expensive machine in the world is the one that arrives, gets plugged in once, and then quietly migrates to the back of a cupboard. Hydrogen inhalation only does anything if it becomes a daily practice — and a daily practice is more likely to begin when the machine in front of you feels like a considered decision.

900 ml/min is not a token gesture. It is meaningfully above the low-flow devices commonly sold elsewhere, it is biologically active, and the research literature on hydrogen at this kind of dose is genuinely interesting. It is not at the upper end of the studied range — that is the Nova’s job, at 1,500 ml/min — but it is a serious entry point, not a watered-down one.

Most people who start here move to the Nova within a year. Some stay. Either is a good outcome. What matters is that the machine arrives, gets used, and quietly proves itself across the small, repeatable mornings and evenings where habits are actually built. That is what the Hydro Gen is for.

— Phil, founder

Honest answers

The questions worth asking.

01 · Why start with the Hydro Gen and not the Nova?

The Gen is the right entry point if you’re new to hydrogen inhalation and want a considered first step without the full commitment of the Nova. 900 ml/min is biologically active and significantly above the low-flow devices commonly sold elsewhere. If you already know you want a flow rate at the upper end of the studied range, the Nova is the right starting machine.

02 · How long is a typical session?

Most Hydro Gen users run sessions of 60 minutes once daily. That can be split across the day if preferred. Sessions integrate quietly into the rhythm you already have — watching television, reading, working from home.

03 · Can I upgrade to the Nova later?

Yes. We run an upgrade programme: if you decide within the first twelve months that you’d like to move to the Nova, we’ll take the Gen back and credit its full purchase price against the Nova. Email our UK team for the current terms.

04 · What kind of water does it need?

Distilled or deionised water only. Tap water contains minerals that shorten the life of the electrolyzer considerably. Supermarkets stock distilled water at roughly £1 per litre; a single tank holds 2.6 litres and runs for several sessions. The TDS pen included in the box lets you confirm the water is pure before each refill.

05 · Is it noisy?

No. The Hydro Gen runs at 20 decibels — quieter than a whisper, quieter than a laptop fan. Most users place it on a side table during a session and forget it is running.

06 · What’s included with delivery?

The machine, three silicone cannulas, a pre-fitted filter, a TDS water-quality pen, the UK power lead, and the printed manual. Delivery is free, next working day if ordered by 2pm. The 2-year UK warranty is registered automatically — nothing to post back. If you’d like to read the full manual before ordering, our UK team will email a copy on request.

07 · Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer Klarna and Clearpay at checkout, both interest-free. The Hydro Gen works out at around £612 per month over four months with Clearpay, or three monthly payments with Klarna. If you'd rather arrange something different, our UK team can help — just email us.

08 · What happens if something goes wrong?

Email our UK team. We handle warranty directly — no international returns, no grey-market complications, no going through a distributor. If a repair is needed, we arrange collection and cover postage both ways for the first two years.

A considered first step, properly supported.

Free next-day delivery, two-year UK warranty. If you'd rather ask a question before deciding, our UK team replies to every email personally, usually within the working day. We'd rather you made the right decision than the fast one.
